Vitamin E Oil - the simple truth

Tuesday Mar 17, 2009
I would like to talk about Vitamin E oil today.
I found Vitamin E oil so versatile. You can put it on you scars and if you are consistent (you should do that for at least 100 days twice a day) - you will see that your scars diminish.Vitamin E oil is also famous for its qualities to diminish wrinkles and firm up the skin. Some claim that Vitamin E oil helps to reduce dark circles under your eyes.
I started using Vitamin E oil under my eyes - it is such an inexpensive replacement of the eye cream and it is definitely working - my skin is smooth and well moisturised and as a result my tiny lines under my eyes  (which I don’t like so much) are less visible. And it seems that my darkcircles are not so dark (not that I have really bad circles but I have them).
Vitamin E oil is also very beneficial for stretch marks - I would say as a prevention. Even though the manufactures are claiming that it would help the existing stretch marks I would suggest to use vitamin E oil as a prevention rather than as a cure.
You may choose to use a cream with vitamin E oil instead of pure oil as you may find it easier to apply. However pure oil will always be more effective.
So try Vitamin E oil for yourself and you will be amazed how effective it is.

Wrinkles around eyes - how to prevent and minimise them

Tuesday Dec 23, 2008

Usually wrinkles around eyes are first wrinkles we notice on our face. And we all would like to get rid of them. Protection is better than prevention that is a well knows fact.

However you won’t be able completely avoid wrinkles aroudn eyes but you have better chance to have fewer of them if you take care of your eye area as early as possible.

If you have already got wrinkles – a good care will help to smooth them up and reduce some wrinkles and also prevent appearance of new ones.

Wrinkles appear because of the collagen level production is reduced as we age, skin become dryer and thinner. Sun damage is another reason as well as our facial mimics: laughing, smiling and squinting.

By no mean I want you to stop smiling and laughing but at least eliminate squinting and frowning.

How to prevent and cure wrinkles around eyes:

Always wear sunscreen. Be careful choosing a sunscreen. You want to be sure that it won’t irritate your eye area where skin is thinner than the rest of our face. Do a small test beforehand. I found that Jurlique works very well for me.

Wear sunglasses. It not only protect the skin around eye area it will all prevent you from squinting.

Use good eye cream. Moisturising is a very important part in preventing and treating wrinkles around eyes. Some recommend using creams with retinol (vitamin A) but you should not use this cream while you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Apply almond oil around your eye area. It will not only help diminish wrinkles but will help to fade dark circles. Do not apply oil just before you go to bed – it could make your eyes look puffy in the morning.

Vitamin E oil is oil that is known for its quality to minimise wrinkles.

Avoid alcohol, cigarettes and caffeine. All of these damage your skin and you will get new wrinkles.

Try to apply potato juice on your eye area: 1 tablespoon of potato juice (you can apply by using round make up removal pads soaked in juice) or a small piece of double layered muslin (fine fabric). Leave for 15 minutes and wash it off. Apply moisturising eye cream.

Apply cucumber juice on your eye area. You can simply use thin slices of cucumber. Leave for 10-15 minutes. Wish your eye area off then follow with your eye cream.

Drink plenty of water

Eat healthy and remember that you do need good fats (like omega 3, 6 and 9). Naturally they are in cold pressed oils (such as flaxseed oil, olive oil) and fish (salmon, mackerel, sardines). You can replace flaxseed oil with capsules if you don’t like the taste of this oil. Fish oil as a supplement is also beneficial for your skin.

Vitamin C is a great skin vitamin. It improves elasticity of the skin. If you are pregnant do not have more than 1000mg a day (500 mg twice a day).

And most importantly get good rest, make sure you sleep enough and don’t stress. All these factors affect your skin.

Follow theses advices and you will see changes - wrinkles around eyes will get minimised. Check my blog for more beauty tips and tricks.
