Hair Conditioners – Why Do We Need Them?
Posted by Olya | Under hair care Tuesday Feb 3, 2009I was thinking recently – do we actually need hair conditioner to be applied after washing hair with the shampoo?
So I did some research and found (as always) two opposite opinions. Some said that we don’t need hair conditioner if we don’t wash our hair every day and do not blow dry our hair. But most of the time I found that we do need hair conditioner! Bellow I posted some interesting and useful (I hope) facts:
- Our hair are damaged by sun, dry or cold weather, dust and some other conditions, so our hair lose protein and moisture. To restore them we should include hair conditioner into our hair care routine.
- There are different types of hair conditioners for different types of hair: for dry and damaged hair, for normal hair, for oily hair, sometimes you can find hair conditioners for curly hair and frizzy hair. Find the one that is most suitable for you.
- There is no need to leave hair conditioner for a long time (unless it is a treatment conditioner, i.e mask). The secret is in applying and distributing hair conditioner through your buy kamagra hair (and it could take a long time if your have long hair). But when you have done that – you can rinse them straight away. I actually noticed that there is no real difference if I apply conditioner for 3 minutes and then rinse it or rinse it straight away (that happens when I am a bit in a rush). There is a great article propecia buy cheap target=”_blank”>here.
- There are three types of hair conditioners: rinse-through conditioner, treatment or repair conditioner and leave in hair conditioner.
- Rinse through is the most “common” hair conditioner: you apply buy clomid pills it after your washed your hair with the shampoo. As you now know – distribute it evenly through the hair and rinse it off.
- Treatment or repair conditioner is the one you would use once a week and leave for about 10 to 20 minutes. You can also put a towel around your head to keep your hair warm – you will get even better result.
- Leave in hair conditioner is simply the one you would leave in your hair (you don’t rinse this conditioner off). There are conditioners that you use after washing westernunion kentucky your hair but before you would towel dry your hair or there are leave in conditioners that come in form of a spray – this is alight high protein formula especially great for looking after combination hair (yes that is my type – dry only on the ends).
- Make sure you never apply hair conditioner to the roots (or scalp) – there is enough moisture already.
I hope you found this article useful. Personally – I love hair conditioners – they make my hair smooth and silky. I have tried various types: leave in, rinse through and treatment hair conditioners – they are all great – you just need to find the one that suit you most.
